Itinerary for my Grand Tour

1/02/04- Departing England by train to Lillie France Euro Star connecting to TVR train to Avignon , arriving around 5 pm, renting a car (Aston Martin) if they have one, spending the night at De L'hortage (hotel)

1/3/04- Unless I can catch up to some friends of mine I will be sort of cruising around the south of France for a few days, trying to find some of the places my parents stayed before the war and after with me. Good excuse to drive around Cannes and Nice and Cote de Azur. Imagine me driving around the French country side, scary thought.

1/7/04- Park myself in mountain village, Rousssillon, La Cachette, home of friends

1/12/04- Depart Avignon by train to Barcelona staying for three nights at the hotel Rialto sound posh, but isn't tel:34 Email Service spotty

1/12/04- Depart Avignon by train to Barcelona staying for three nights at the hotel Rialto sounds posh, but isn't tel:34-93-3185212, Plan to check out Gaudi buildings, I am advised that no-one goes out in Barcelona till about 10pm and clubs don't even open till midnight, sounds like my kind of town.

1/15/04- Depart Barcelona by overnight train to Malaga, arriving on the 16th where I will be staying with Colin till the 23rd. More about this later, but day trip to Seville and Alhambra in the works, may just stay in the mountains and eat olives. Go to the website of the villa I stayed in: www.villabancales.com

1/23/04- Depart Malaga for England, short charter flight to Heathrow and back to my friends in the "cottage"

1/25/04- Return the USA, world weary and poor.
