[Avignon] - [Arles] - [Cote de Azur] - [Roussillon] - [Sites] - [Travel Log] So on the map of southern France is a big red line leading from
Nice, north, it is numbered N85, and from it lead a clear secondary
road leading to the area of Roussillon. So I figured this was
a good bet to see some scenary on my way to lodgings. I had to
be there by 5, figured 3 hours was plenty of time so off I went,
but I got lost. After about three hours of driving up and down
mountains without ever finding N85 I stopped to as directions
to this major highway, to my suprise I had been on it for the
last 3 hours! Yes, this winding, narrow, incredible road WAS the
major highway on the map and I was only halfway to my destination,
it was a wonderful, harrowing drive. I loved it, hope you do too. |
